Get your hands and boots dirty
As guest Maddy Nahigian can attest, there is no better chicken than hot Nashville chicken.
The top three restaurants that Maddy shared with us were McDougals, Hattie B’s and to switch it up, Red Headed Stranger.
McDougals
There are many restaurants known for their chicken, how about a restaurant that's famous for their sauces? McDougals set themselves apart from the many others by using only the best quality chicken, and preparing it the old fashioned way. They've recently opened a second location on 12 Ave South, not too far from their original location in Hillsboro Village. With over 5 dippin’&tossin’ sauces to choose from, it's no wonder it's a Nashville holy grail.
Hattie B’s
Hattie B’s Hot Nashville Chicken is a celebrity hotspot. Inside scoop from Maddy is that Dua Lipa was there a few weeks ago to experience their wide range of flavors. Hatties has 9 locations throughout Nashville and is known as the “OG” of Hot Nashville Chicken. The flavors range from “Southern” (no heat) to “Shut The Cluck Up”(maximum heat). Whatever your heat preference, this spot will ease your hot chicken craving lickity split.
Red Headed Stranger
Even though chicken is a staple of Nashville, Tex-Mex is an easy second place. The Red Headed Stranger not only has one of the most amazing websites, their taco selection and prices can't be beat! There are 9 different tacos at a price of $3. The rest of the menu includes quesadillas, burritos and burgers. Bryan Lee Weaver is the executive chef and began the restaurant in 2017. Since then it's grown into the hottest tex-mex around!
